Just Checking in....

Hi there,
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.  I did.  And survived the Black Friday shopping!!!!  There was nothing I needed at those early hours.  I didn't leave the house till 9:45, made it to both Michael's and Jo-Ann's before 12 to get the extra discount.   And the mall was having the doorbuster sales till 1 and got a few things before that time!!!!   By 2:00, I had had it and headed home" with my treasures"!!!!!

Here's a OOAK sled I found in GW.  It was painted a wine color and the top part was blue.  Took it all apart, sanded and painted a Renee Mullins snowman on it.  I put snow tex on the white paint.    I have it posted on my Etsy site. .... http://www.etsy.com/shop/loisling

On Sat. I took all my fall decorations down.  Now to just finish cleaning up the house before I get the Christmas decorations down.  It seems all I've been doing since Thurs is run!!!!  Need to stay home and get something done!!!  Hubby will be out hunting.

Till next time,

Take care,

Happy Thanksgiving

Wow, it's been awhile.  There is always something to do.  I've been reading everyone's blog, just a little lax in writing my own!!!  Thank you to my new followers.  And I'm thankful for all my followers.  We've had some great conversations via e-mail!!!  Love all you guys, even though I don't comment on your blogs, I've agreed with you, or cried with you or prayed with you.  I'm sure we all have something to be thankful for this year.
I'm thankful for my sales from bloggers.    Your the best!!!!!

I've also been working on opening an Esty account and have listed some of my things there.  Just starting and will be trying to list something everyday for awhile.  So, please visit me there.....    http://www.etsy.com/shop/loisling

Hope everyone has a fun, relaxing day tomorrow.  We'll all start our diets on Fri while rushing around getting all the bargains.  Who all is going to be in the mad rush???  I might be, will have to see what the ads have in them. (I'm not an online shopper so haven't been looking at the sales online.)    I've been known to be in my car at 5 a.m. but that was a couple of years ago.  Seems I wake up early anyway, so figure I may as well go and get back early and take a nap!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

P.S. I'm a Snoopy collector, so when I saw that pic, I knew that was for me.

A surprise!!!! A reminder!!! A pet peeve!!!!

Hi everyone,  another week gone by!!!!  I guess everyone's busy getting ready for Christmas shows.
And speaking of.....don't forget our online Old Fashioned Christmas Craft Show this weekend.  Hope everyone checks out all 34 crafters that will be participating.  I can't wait to see what everyone has to offer.  Should be fun....shopping from home.   No finding a parking space.  No fighting the crowds to get what you want.  No tired feet!!!!!   No driving in bad weather to go shopping.  But, let's hope there is no bad weather anyway!!!!! lol  And have you checked out the giveaways that are being offered?    These are the ones I know of, there may be more.  All great giveaways!!!!!

I got the best surprise today!  I go out to get the mail and here on my step is a package!!!!!  Sheila from Seasons of thy Heart sent me a fall arrangement.  What a surprise that was.  I love it!!!!  And I also got a Huckleberry flavored cake of soap!!!!!  Thank you so much Sheila.  I will always think of you when I get it out.
Isn't that tree gorgeous????  It catches your eye everytime I come into this room and especially when the sun is shining, as it just glows.  Just wish I could see it from my window where I paint.   It's just down from my flower garden in front of the other window that's on my hubby's side of the room!!!!  Yes, we built this room on for me to craft in and half of it's mine and the other half his.  But, I'm slowing taking over!!!!!  And Monica's little table and toys are on his side too!!!! lol
Now, my pet peeve.   THEY HAVE STARTED CHRISTMAS COMMERICIALS ON TV!!!!!  Let's do Thanksgiving and be thankful for what we have instead of trying to be more greedy.  I want to see the Butterball turkey ads.  They were cute.  "Don't tell so and so the turkey's dry!!!!"  Too funny.  What happened to the Thanksgiving commercials anyway?????

Thanks to everyone who stops by.  I love getting company.  And right now, I have a chocolate cake w/peanut butter icing and a cornbread to offer you.  Yum-Yum!!!!!
