Moving on..

This is the last of Valentine things I'm making.  And I'm moving on.  I do have an order for some mittens for a sled.  Then I'm doing a makeover of bunnies for a lady I have repainted, redone things before for her.
The "Love" Bear is a Renee Mullins design.  It's on a 12" heart-shaped grapevine wreath.  The bear is 10".

Stay warm!!!!   Spring will be here....some day!!!!????

Everyone Is Saying It.....

TIME!!!!!  Where is it going????  It's already the middle of January!!!!!  They say if you watch a clock, time will go slowly.  But then I won't get anything done watching the clock!!!!!  The point is to get something done while time is fleeting away!!!!!  I have been busy.  I'm now on a sewing kick!!!  A lady opened a fabric store and I told her I do wood faces and they have material skirts and I put everything on a straw broom.  She wanted to see them.  Showed her and she kept them in her store.  "What else do you have?"  I said hearts, eggs, Easter bunnies that are wood with material dresses on them.  So I am busy sewing, but painting on the side.  My mother did the crocheted doily.  I guess I'm going to have to learn how to do that.  Well, I do, but I can't keep my stitches even.  They're either tooo loopy or toooo tight!!!!

Speaking of painting, the snowman in the last post is a Jamie Mills-Price design.

So, I guess we all should make the most of this fleeting time and craft away!!!!

A makeover

Hi guys,
As I said in my last post, I've been frequenting the GW's and found this sled.

I took off the "extras" and sanded.....and sanded....and sanded.  There is one place you can still see where one of those "extras" was glued, but with the new paint job you don't really see it., unless you look for it!!!   Only thing, that blue is shiny!!!  The can didn't say "shiny", but I thought once I got the new pic painted on it, it wouldn't be sooo bad.  Cause, really, most of the snowman takes up the sled.

New kid on the block!!!!

Hi there,
I've been lurking and reading alot of blogs and following quite a few for awhile, so thought I would jump on the bandwagon and get a blog myself!!!  I'm not a writer, so I may not write too often, but would like this to be a selling blog, but I have alot to learn yet.  I am not computer-savy so things may not be quite right, right now.

I'm a painter, as you see in my heading.  I've been painting for 25 years.   I also sew and have gotten a few prim patterns and have done those up.   I do some craft shows, but was trying to do home craft show parties, but this past year, I had none.  One girl didn't have because of the economy and the other was way too busy this fall...she was traveling the month we usually do one.

I've learned alot from your blogs and GW has been my new stomping grounds.  Who would have thought!!!! Right now I just finished painting a sled that I got there.  A customer of mine asked me 2 years ago to redo/refinish some craft pieces that she had and then I got to reading the makeovers you girls do and so I've tried my hand at that.  I wish I would have taken before and after pictures of the first series of pieces I did for her.

So, stop by.  Please leave comments on how I can improve my blog or anything else you want to talk about.
Love having company!!!!!

Oh, and I was one of Sandy's winners (Old Cupboard Door) last month that won a feather tree and wonderful, smelling tarts.  Thanks again Sandy!!!!!  Didn't take pics, was to excited opening my box!!!!!

Till next time,

Lois
